Save The Family Giving Back Program

DECEMBER 2023

Dudley Ventures’ 2023 Holiday Giving Back Program benefited Save The Family in Mesa, Arizona. Save The Family provides housing, case management, and supportive services to more than 650 homeless and impoverished families annually throughout Maricopa County. They also provide career development, life-skill classes, substance abuse and mental health counseling, and help traumatized children.

Our team was excited to purchase each family member the gift suggestions on their wish lists, as well as provide each family household necessities and a gift card for groceries for a holiday meal.

We also had a fun elf gift-wrapping event and the DV Volunteer Team delivered all the festively wrapped gifts to Save The Family on the morning of December 14th.

Holiday Gift Drive for Helen’s Hope Chest

DECEMBER 2022

DV’s 2022 Holiday Giving Back Program benefited local non-profit, Helen’s Hope Chest which provides clothing, toys, school supplies and other items to local foster children. Our team brought in gifts for teenagers including sports equipment, make up, jewelry, wireless speakers and headphones, books, cologne and perfume and gift cards. The DV Elves were also able to volunteer at JaKelle’s Christmas Box, the HCC “Holiday Store,” where foster parents were able to pick out gifts for their foster children the week of December 12th! DV’s donations helped to ensure that the Arizona foster teens and their foster families have a joyful holiday season. Pass it On, a non-profit founded by one of our DV team member's son, will be donating children’s clothing and new sports equipment to HCC in January as part of their 2023 donation goals.

“JaKelle’s Christmas Box hosted by Helen’s Hope Chest was one of the best events I have ever volunteered at,” said Athena Ray, Transaction Coordinator at Dudley Ventures. “Seeing all the gifts and hearing the families’ stories made me realize that I have so much to be thankful for and helped to get positive perspective when I needed it the most.  There was one family who drove to Mesa from Payson, AZ to be able to get gifts for their foster children. The couple was extremely thankful for the items and excited to be able to give their daughters gifts for the holiday.”

Helen’s Hope Chest is a Qualified Foster Charitable Organization that’s been doing impressive work in Arizona for nearly a decade, having served more than 12K individual needs in the past year alone. HHC provides hope to children and teens in foster and kinship care by meeting their basic needs through our special boutique. In December, HHC holds JaKelle’s Christmas Box where foster/kinship parents are able to choose gifts, books, stuffed animals, and stocking stuffers for each child. Helen’s Hope Chest established a program called Foster360 which provides Personal Navigators that partner with youth in the foster care system beginning at age 14, offering stability, guidance, and coordination of services to the kids, as well as trustworthy connections to the larger community.

Holiday Dinner Fill-A-Bag for Phoenix Rescue Mission

December 2021

Dudley Ventures was excited to host our 2021 Holiday Giving Back Program - a Food Drive benefiting the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s Winter Wonderland Program! Each holiday dinner fill-a-bag included ingredients for a full holiday dinner and can feed families with an average of 5-8 people. The DV elves also included fun holiday themed plates, tablecloths and napkins.

The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a local charity that serves as a place of hope, healing, and new beginnings for men, women and children in our community struggling with homelessness, addiction, and trauma. Offering a hot meal, a warm shower, clean clothing and words of encouragement are often the start of a new life. Phoenix Rescue Mission provides social services and programs to men and women for stability, recovery and independence.
